How to Find Us

Enrolled cadets are responsible for printing and referring to the Plan of the Day (POD), which gives the times and locations for pick-ups and drop-offs for every drill. We place the POD for the next upcoming drill on our home page for visitors to reference. If you are visiting us, please refer to the POD to know when and where to arrive, and to make plans to pick up your visiting child.

Most of our drills begin and end at the Navy Operational Support Center, which is in the San Antonio Military Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston. The NOSC is on a military installation. If you have DoD CAC, you can come aboard by presenting your DoD CAC to the guard at the SAMMC entrance gate.

If you do not have DoD CAC, and you are visiting us at drill, we will station a volunteer at the SAMMC visitor center who can help you get the necessary pass to come aboard. The volunteer will only be there around the designated arrival/drop-off times in the POD. Please arrive at the SAMMC visitor at least 20 minutes prior to the reporting time shown on the Plan of the Day to allow time for the visitor center to get your pass and for you to travel from the visitor center to the NOSC. All people 18-years-old and older must have government-issued photo ID to enter the installation.

The SAMMC entrance gate by the visitor center is the only way to get to the NOSC.

FOR GPS USERS: First, you MUST go through the gate adjacent to the SAMMC visitor center (off of IH-35). Only then should you use a GPS to get to the NOSC. If you just use a GPS to find the NOSC at its Binz-Engleman address, you will wind up looking through a closed fence at the front of the building, and you will be unable to get any closer. You must go via the SAMMC Visitor Center and the SAMMC gate.
